Revision is result of the establishment of the PSID IEEE RAC registry and the process for review and recommendations is consistent with the procedures discussed with the RAC staff and is on-going between the IEEE VT/ITS 1609 WG PARSE subcommittee and the IEEE RAC List of allocated PSIDs has been removed in the revision and the list is maintained through the IEEE RA..

The IEEE 1609 set of standards are a form of DSRC based on IEEE 802.11 that are known as Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE).
